A Map for England
Type:
Country:
Although the National Planning Policy Framework has recently been published in England (March 2012), the document has no spatial dimension. However, government policies and programmes have spatial implications. This research report aims to map those policies and programmes of the UK Government which have spatial implications to inform discussion of spatial planning issues. The report identifies spatial patterns (conflicts and synergies) arising from existing policies and programmes and maps them so that the UK's spatial trends can be examined. The study draws together almost 100 policy maps and shows that, when considered together, some may have unintended consequences.
