National Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development Framework (in Greek) is a document describing spatial planning at the highest level. It analyses current situation and provides guidelines for the whole country and all activities. Also it estimates impacts of international, national and EU policies and programmes implemented last few years. It clarifies the strategic territorial objectives for Greece depending to neighbouring countries as so for the role and position of Greece to EU. It proposes the priorities for major public works and specifies areas for establishing productive activities. At the same time it poses the priorities for protecting natural environment, saveguarding natural resources and managing cultural heritage. It has been into power at 3/7/2008, having a 15 years duration.
