Regional Spatial Development Plan (in French)

The SDER, adopted in 1999, gives spatial orientation policies for a sustainable development of the Walloon region. It is a transversal project where one of the main objective is to understand and enhance the position of Wallonia in the European context. The document consists of three parts. The first one gives a picture of the existing situation: socio economic trends, urban dynamics, water and subsoil exploitation, agriculture, transport, landscape, natural and built heritage, supra-regional context... The second part is dedicated to the spatial development plan and exposes eight objectives, synthetized in a map. The third part explains how to implement the spatial project through specific measures. The document is written in french.
